Analysis and diagnostic

Every case begins with an analysis — a thorough examination of the drive, identification of the damage, and an assessment of recovery chances. The fee is charged upfront and is not included in the recovery cost. This keeps the recovery itself cheaper than at labs offering "free diagnostics".

  • Price per drive, excluding HotSpare
  • For damaged drives — surcharge per HDD/SSD variant

SCSI · SAS

Server arrays

€170 / drive

  • SCSI and SAS drives
  • Servers and workstations
  • Price per drive, excluding HotSpare
  • For damaged drives — surcharge per HDD/SSD variant

Advanced

Complex configurations

from €220 / drive

  • RAID 6, 60, non-standard levels
  • Arrays with more than 8 drives

Frequently asked questions

Is the analysis cost included in the recovery price?

No. Analysis is a separate service paid upfront (€65 standard or €1,000 express). It includes a thorough examination of the drive, identification of the failure type, and an assessment of recovery chances. Based on the results we prepare a report and an exact quote. This keeps the recovery itself cheaper than at labs offering "free diagnostics".

Can the price quoted after analysis increase?

No. The amount shown in your case profile after the analysis is the final price. We do not add any hidden fees for copying data to a drive or for making it available via download.

When is payment due for data recovery?

Payment is due after the client approves the final result, based on the list of recovered files — before the data is handed over.

What does the recovery price include?

The price includes all laboratory work, copying the recovered data to a new drive, or making it available for download from our server (up to 10 TB). We do not charge for file transfer or verification.

Can you quote based on a diagnosis from another lab?

No. Information from other labs can be helpful but does not form the basis for a binding quote. We verify every case ourselves — especially if previous repair attempts were made, which can significantly alter the damage picture. Our quotes are based solely on our own analysis, for which we take full responsibility.

Do you take on cases where other labs have already tried and failed?

Yes, but prior intervention incurs an additional +€100 surcharge on the analysis fee. This applies to drives opened outside a laminar flow chamber and devices that have undergone repairs or firmware modifications.

How long does data recovery take?

The time depends on the media type and extent of damage. Approximate timelines:

  • HDD, SSD, memory cards and flash drives (logical damage) — 2–7 business days
  • HDD (firmware or mechanical damage) — 2–30 business days
  • SSD (firmware, memory degradation) — 5–90 business days
  • RAID arrays and servers — 2–21 business days
  • Memory cards and flash drives (Chip-Off, monolithic) — 5–60 business days
Will my drive be returned after the work is done?

Yes. The original drive is returned together with a new device containing the recovered data, or separately if you download the data from our server. You may also leave the damaged device for secure disposal.

Have questions about pricing?

You don't need to know the technical details. Just briefly describe what happened to your drive — our engineer will assess the situation and give you an indicative cost before you place an order.

During business hours we reply within 20 minutes. Outside business hours we respond as quickly as possible.
